New protein fibers aim to heal the spine

NCT ID NCT06000319

Summary

This study is testing whether a material called Natural Matrix Protein (NMP) fibers can help bones grow together properly after spinal fusion surgery. It will involve 200 people who have already had surgery for conditions like degenerative disc disease or spinal stenosis. Researchers will check X-rays and ask patients about their pain and function for one year to see if the new material is safe and helps the spine heal.
