New bone putty tested against standard treatment in spinal fusion

NCT ID NCT04679844

Summary

This study compares two different bone graft materials used during spinal fusion surgery for patients with degenerative disc disease and back pain. Surgeons will use a synthetic bone putty on one side of the spine and a standard bone graft mixture on the other side in the same patient. Researchers will track 60 patients for one year to see which material helps bones fuse together better and improves pain and function.
