New MRI scan spots hidden spinal injuries in MS patients
NCT ID NCT04906928
First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study is testing a new, more detailed MRI sequence (3D FGAPSIR) to see if it can find spinal cord injuries that standard scans miss in people with multiple sclerosis. About 200 adults will get an extra 10-minute scan during their regular MRI. The goal is to improve detection of spinal cord lesions, not to treat the disease.
