Zapping the spine to fix blood pressure in veterans

NCT ID NCT05180227

Summary

This VA study tested whether gentle electrical stimulation through the skin could help stabilize blood pressure in veterans with spinal cord injuries. Researchers worked with 10 participants to find the best placement and settings for electrodes on the back. The goal was to develop a safe method to prevent dangerous drops in blood pressure, which is a major health risk for people with these injuries.
