NCT ID NCT07228091
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compares two surgical systems used for combined cataract and vitrectomy eye surgeries. The UNITY VCS system is being tested against the CONSTELLATION system to see which one surgeons find more efficient in real-world operating rooms. About 180 adults needing combined eye surgery will take part, and surgeons will rate how efficient each system is during setup, surgery, and teardown.

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could show that the UNITY VCS system makes combined eye surgeries faster and more efficient for surgeons, potentially improving operating room workflow.
What could go wrong
This is an observational study focused on efficiency, not on patient outcomes or safety. Results may not apply to all surgical settings or patient types.
