NCT ID NCT07636031

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a speech therapy method called Rapid Syllable Transition (ReST) in children aged 5 to 8 with childhood apraxia of speech, a condition that makes it hard to say sounds correctly. The goal is to see if the therapy is practical and helps improve speech clarity and motor planning. Twenty children will be randomly assigned to either receive the therapy twice a week for six weeks or be placed on a waiting list. The study focuses on whether the therapy is feasible and provides early estimates of its effects.
