First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study will test if a detailed heart ultrasound (speckle tracking echocardiography) can find early signs of heart trouble in 100 adults with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Researchers want to see if this method is better than standard tests at linking gut disease activity to heart function. The goal is to catch heart issues sooner, but this study does not test any treatment.
