NCT ID NCT06695065

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study will test a detailed heart ultrasound technique (speckle tracking echocardiography) to see if it can find early signs of heart trouble in 100 adults with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Researchers want to know if this method can predict heart problems before they become serious and how IBD activity relates to heart function. Participants will have one extra heart imaging session, and no treatment is given.
