Could a simple hospital transfer save more lives after cardiac arrest?

NCT ID NCT07002294

Summary

This study aims to find out if people who survive a cardiac arrest outside the hospital recover better when transferred to a specialized cardiac arrest center versus staying at their local hospital. About 1,618 adult participants will be randomly assigned to receive either specialized center care or standard care at the nearest appropriate hospital. Researchers will check how well participants are functioning 90 days after their cardiac arrest to see which approach leads to better recovery.
