Could a new shoe design ease the pain of walking for veterans?
NCT ID NCT05103280
Summary
This study tested whether specially designed shoes could help people with peripheral artery disease (PAD) walk more easily. PAD causes leg pain when walking due to poor blood flow. Ten participants tried shoes with carbon fiber or spring-loaded soles for three months to see if they could walk farther and with less discomfort in daily life.
