NCT ID NCT07459062
First seen Mar 12, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests a new device called SPCTRone that helps surgeons check if all cancer has been removed during breast-conserving surgery. About 100 women with breast cancer will have their surgical tissue scanned by the device, and results will be compared to standard lab tests. The goal is to train an AI model to accurately identify leftover cancer cells, which could reduce the need for repeat surgeries.
