Blood test reveals why lung cancer drugs stop working

NCT ID NCT03833934

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at 62 people with ALK-positive lung cancer whose tumors had stopped responding to newer targeted drugs. Instead of a tissue biopsy, researchers used a blood test (liquid biopsy) to find genetic changes that cause resistance. The goal was to better understand these mutations and help doctors choose the next treatment.
