Spacer device may cut hospital visits for elderly lung patients

Summary
This study looks at whether using a spacer (a tube that helps medicine reach the lungs) with standard inhalers can reduce serious breathing attacks in people aged 65 and older with asthma or COPD. All participants are already on strong triple therapy but remain at high risk. The trial will compare flare-ups over 3 months in 380 people who either use a spacer or not.
