Scientists lock volunteers in lab to mimic stress of space travel
NCT ID NCT07293494
Summary
This study aims to understand how common stressors like sleep loss and alcohol affect brain function and coordination. Up to 56 healthy adults will spend about six days in a lab, where they will be kept awake for 27 hours and drink alcohol on a separate day to measure their reactions. The goal is to use this information to predict and reduce similar risks for astronauts during spaceflight.
