NCT ID NCT07599657

First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 07, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at a protein called Surfactant Protein D (SP-D) in the gum fluid of people with gum disease (periodontitis). Researchers will measure SP-D levels before and 6 months after a gentle, non-surgical cleaning treatment. The goal is to see if SP-D levels change with treatment and if they relate to gum health improvements. About 18 adults with moderate gum disease will take part.
