New tech targets deadly lung clots with less bleeding risk
NCT ID NCT06310018
Summary
This study is testing a new, lower-dose treatment for serious blood clots in the lungs (pulmonary embolism). Doctors use a special catheter with ultrasound to deliver a clot-busting drug directly to the clots. The goal is to clear the clots and help the heart recover while trying to lower the risk of dangerous bleeding, which is a major concern with current treatments.
