Summary

This study looked at whether using a sonic device to clean the tooth during a root canal can lower pain afterward. Fifty-eight adults needing root canal treatment were randomly assigned to get either the sonic cleaning or the standard syringe method. Their pain was measured before the procedure and at 24, 36, 48 hours, and one week after.
