NCT ID NCT07271732

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether Songling Xuemaikang capsules can help control cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD), a condition where small blood vessels in the brain get damaged over time, often linked to high blood pressure. Researchers will enroll 90 adults aged 55-75 with hypertension and signs of CSVD on MRI. Half will get the herbal capsule, half a placebo, and all will continue their usual blood pressure medications. The main goal is to see if the capsule reduces brain white matter damage after one year.
