New ultrasound technique could catch liver cancer sooner in High-Risk patients

NCT ID NCT07590284

First seen May 15, 2026 ยท Last updated May 15, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a special ultrasound using a contrast agent called Sonazoid can find early-stage liver cancer better than a regular ultrasound. About 556 adults with liver cirrhosis will be monitored every 4 to 6 months with both methods. The goal is to see if Sonazoid ultrasound detects more cancers early, when treatment is most effective.
