Sound waves aim to halt ALS progression

Summary
This early-stage study tests whether repeatedly opening the blood-brain barrier with ultrasound can slow ALS. About 23 adults with ALS will receive 9 ultrasound sessions over 24 weeks. The goal is to check safety and look for signs of slowing the disease.
