First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding sodium propionate, a common food preservative, to standard immunotherapy and chemotherapy can improve tumor shrinkage in people with advanced stomach cancer. About 20 adults with inoperable gastric cancer will be randomly assigned to receive either sodium propionate capsules or a placebo alongside their regular treatment for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if the combination leads to better tumor responses.
