First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether a medicine made from horse chestnut extract (sodium aescinate) can safely reduce pain in adults with long-term low back pain. About 40 people will take either the drug or a placebo for a short time, and researchers will measure changes in pain and daily function. The goal is to see if this treatment is worth studying further.
