Could a horse chestnut extract ease your aching back?
NCT ID NCT07339631
Summary
This study is testing whether sodium aescinate, a medicine derived from horse chestnut seeds, can safely reduce pain and improve function for adults with chronic low back pain. Researchers will compare the effects of the pills against a placebo (a dummy pill) in 40 participants over 6 weeks. This is an early-stage trial to see if the treatment works and is safe before larger studies are done.
