App aims to ease loneliness in depression patients awaiting therapy

Summary
This study tests a smartphone app that sends social support prompts to adults with depression who are waiting to start therapy. Over 21 days, 120 participants will be tracked six times daily to see if the app reduces depressive symptoms and loneliness. The goal is to find the best timing for these prompts to improve mood and social connection.
