Can a loved One's photo calm your social fears?

NCT ID NCT04565041

Summary

This UCLA study is testing whether looking at pictures of supportive people can help reduce fear in adults with social anxiety. Researchers will compare how 100 participants (50 with social anxiety, 50 without) respond to fearful cues when paired with either a photo of someone they feel supported by or a photo of a smiling stranger. The goal is to see if this simple technique can help people with anxiety learn to let go of fear more effectively.
