NCT ID NCT04564976
Summary
This study aims to understand if looking at a picture of a supportive person can help people with social anxiety disorder 'unlearn' a fear response. Researchers will compare 50 healthy adults with 50 adults diagnosed with social anxiety. Participants will learn to associate an image with a mild shock, then see if viewing photos of supportive people helps reduce that fear reaction.
