First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looks at whether mindfulness meditation or reducing social media and replacing it with exercise can improve mental health in college students who use social media heavily. 300 students will be split into three groups: one does nothing different, one practices mindfulness daily, and one cuts social media and adds exercise. The study lasts two weeks and measures changes in anxiety, depression, well-being, and phone use.
