Facebook ads target smokers to boost Life-Saving lung scans
NCT ID NCT05824273
Summary
This study tested whether targeted Facebook ads and an online educational tool called 'LungTalk' could increase awareness and encourage more people at high risk for lung cancer to get screened. Researchers enrolled over 500 adults with a significant smoking history to see if this social media approach improved their knowledge and likelihood of discussing screening with a doctor. The goal was to find better ways to connect high-risk individuals with potentially life-saving early detection.
