Could your text messages reveal HIV risk? kenyan study investigates

NCT ID NCT06566417

Summary

This study explored whether analyzing the social media and text messages of young women in Kenya could help identify their risk for HIV and their prevention needs. Researchers collected six months of message data from 400 women and compared patterns in their communications with standard HIV risk assessment scores. The goal was to see if this new data science approach could provide better insights than traditional questionnaires alone.
