Summary
This study tested whether weekly social groups could help older veterans struggling with depression, loneliness, and isolation. Nineteen veterans participated in community-based social gatherings led by trained facilitators. Researchers collected feedback and measured changes in mood and social connections to see if the program should be expanded for more veterans.
