First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 26, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at whether having a doctor send an online referral to a food program called WIC helps more pregnant women sign up. About 240 pregnant women on Medicaid or without insurance took part. Some got usual care, others got a direct referral, and some also spoke with a dietitian about healthy eating. The goal was to see which approach gets more women enrolled and using WIC benefits.
