VA tests new approach to help veterans kick smoking habit after lung nodule diagnosis
NCT ID NCT04574518
Summary
This study is testing a program to help Veterans who smoke and have a newly found lung nodule quit smoking. The program sends a personal letter and follows up with automated phone calls to connect them to free quitting resources like counseling and medications. Researchers want to see if this approach helps more people quit smoking compared to just giving them information on how to call for help themselves.
