Proactive support vs. standard offer: which helps smokers quit?
NCT ID NCT05382221
Summary
This study tested a more involved, ongoing support program for quitting smoking against the usual yearly offer of help. It involved 979 primary care patients who smoke and lasted 18 months. The main goal was to see which approach led to more people successfully quitting and if the more involved program was worth the extra cost.
