Summary
This study tests a single program that helps people who recently had a heart attack quit smoking and manage depressed mood. About 233 participants will receive counseling that combines proven smoking-cessation techniques with mood management. The goal is to see if this combined approach helps more people stay smoke-free and feel better emotionally, lowering their risk of future heart problems.
