Summary

This study tested two methods to help people living with HIV/AIDS in South Africa reduce their cigarette smoking: using e-cigarettes or nicotine replacement therapy (like patches), plus supportive text messages. 106 adults who smoked daily took part. The goal was to see if these approaches were practical and could help cut down or quit smoking, which can improve their long-term health.
