Your phone could help doctors track this rare muscle disease

NCT ID NCT06743490

Summary

This study is testing whether smartphone recordings can help measure key symptoms of myasthenia gravis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness. Researchers will use video and audio from participants' phones to track symptoms like speech changes, eyelid drooping, and arm fatigue. The goal is to see if machine learning can accurately detect these symptoms, which could lead to better tools for monitoring the disease in the future.
