Phone alerts fight suicidal urges
NCT ID NCT05848089
Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone app that sends reminders to practice emotional coping skills could help reduce suicidal thoughts. It involved 41 adults who were recently hospitalized for suicidal thoughts or attempts. Half received the app with daily prompts to practice skills like mindfulness and flexible thinking, while the other half received standard hospital care and only reported their feelings.
