Summary
This study tested a smartphone app that gives people real-time reminders to use their safety plan and coping strategies when they report having suicidal thoughts. 103 adults who were hospitalized for suicidal thoughts or behaviors took part. The goal was to see if the app was easy to use and helpful, and if it led to fewer suicidal thoughts.
