Phone app aims to ease mental strain of living with chronic illness
NCT ID NCT07099365
Summary
This study is testing whether a self-guided smartphone app based on therapy principles is a practical and helpful tool for people with long-term physical conditions who are also experiencing depression or anxiety. Sixty UK residents will try the app for 12 weeks while others use standard charity support, then swap, to see if the app is easy to use and acceptable. The main goal is to see if running a larger future trial is possible and to understand people's experiences with the app.
