New clip aims to pinpoint breast cancer for surgeons

NCT ID NCT04604561

Summary

This study tested a new device called the SmartClip to see if it helps surgeons accurately locate and remove breast tumors during cancer surgery. Doctors placed the clip in the breast before surgery and used a navigation system to find it during the operation. The goal was to see if this method made tumor removal more precise and reproducible for the surgical team.
