Smart patch aims to catch deadly pneumonia early
NCT ID NCT07237633
Summary
This study is testing a new, sticker-like smart sensor to see if it can help doctors screen for pneumonia early in high-risk patients. It will be used on 70 hospitalized adults who have had a recent stroke or have kidney failure. The sensor listens to lung sounds daily and is compared to standard chest X-rays to see if it can accurately detect signs of pneumonia.
