Smart pill alerts doctors when HIV patients miss meds

NCT ID NCT06480578

Summary

This study is testing a new system to help people with HIV stick to their medication schedule. It uses a special pill with a tiny sensor that sends a signal when swallowed. If a dose is missed, the system alerts a care team who can quickly check in and help with any life challenges—like housing or food issues—that might be getting in the way. The goal is to see if this real-time support helps people take their medicine more consistently, keep their virus under control, and stay healthier.
