Smart homes aim to predict and prevent falls for seniors after hip surgery
NCT ID NCT07419789
Summary
This study is testing a new 'smart home' care model designed to help older adults recover safely at home after hip fracture surgery. The system uses technology to predict risks, like falls, and sends alerts to family caregivers and nurses to provide more personalized support. Researchers will enroll about 218 participants aged 60 and older in northern Taiwan to see if this approach improves recovery, reduces falls, and helps caregivers.
