New thinner tube may improve heart procedures for small vessel patients

Summary

This study tests if a special thinner tube (6-French Glidesheath Slender) can make heart procedures safer and more effective for people with small blood vessels. About 594 adults with coronary artery disease will be randomly assigned to receive the procedure through the wrist using this tube. The main goal is to see if it reduces the risk of artery blockage after the procedure.
