New 'Smart' foot aims to help veterans walk on uneven ground

NCT ID NCT07266077

Summary

This study is testing a new prosthetic foot designed to help veterans with below-knee amputations walk more easily on slopes and uneven surfaces. Researchers will compare the new Slope Adaptive Foot against a standard hydraulic foot to see which one helps veterans participate more in daily activities and reduces their fear of falling. The study involves 30 veterans who will try both types of feet and share their experiences over time.
