First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study compares two surgical methods—slide tracheoplasty and tracheal resection—for treating acquired tracheal stenosis (narrowing of the windpipe). About 30 adults with severe narrowing will be randomly assigned to one surgery. The goal is to see which approach has fewer complications and better success at keeping the airway open for at least 3 months.
