NCT ID NCT07560787

First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding a small repair (crural repair and gastropexy) to standard sleeve gastrectomy surgery could reduce acid reflux in people with severe obesity. Fifty patients were split into two groups: one got the standard surgery, the other got the standard surgery plus the repair. The main goal was to see if the extra repair lowered reflux symptoms one year after surgery. The study is complete and results are available.
