First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study aims to see if a device called SleepImage can accurately detect respiratory failure in people with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). Researchers will compare SleepImage data with standard overnight sleep tests in 15 adults with ALS. The goal is to find a simpler way to decide when to start non-invasive ventilation (NIV) to support breathing.
