Can better sleep lower your blood pressure overnight?

NCT ID NCT04009447

Summary

This study aimed to understand why people with both high blood pressure and insomnia have a higher risk of heart disease. Researchers gave 149 adults with these conditions a 6-week talk therapy program designed to improve sleep. They then measured changes in nighttime blood pressure and other heart health markers to see if better sleep could be a protective factor.
