New study tests nerve tricks for better sleep after mastectomy

NCT ID NCT07272954

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at two ways to improve sleep after breast cancer surgery: a nerve block injection or a mild ear stimulation device. About 136 women will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. Their sleep will be tracked with a wrist monitor and questionnaires for the first few days after surgery, and they will be followed for 30 days to see if sleep problems develop.
